Recycling and Waste Transfer Station

Where: The Town of Esperance Waste Transfer and Recycling Facility is located on Route 30A, approximately 1 mile south of the Village of Sloansville.

When: The facility is staffed on Saturdays from 7A.M. until 1 P.M. Waste and recycling are accepted only during this time.

Recyclables:

Two categories of recyclables:
1 - Green Fiber Community Paper Recycling Program
Acceptable items: Newspapers, Phonebooks, Office Paper, Cardboard, Cereal Boxes, Magazines, Brown Paper Bags, Construction Paper
Note: Except when items are shredded please do not put these items in plastic bags.

2 - Glass, Metal and Plastic
please clean all recyclables in this category and crush plastic jugs if possible. The facility accepts recyclable materials from category 2 bagged in clear, plastic bags.

Not recyclable is string and Styrofoam - place in regular trash

There is no limit on the amount of recyclable materials submitted to the facility.

All White Goods (old household appliances)

-taken for free (no tickets required) every 3rd Saturday.

Waste (garbage)

also accepted, bagged in clear plastic bags. Waste is charged at $2.00 per bag. Tickets are sold as a Five(5) -bag ticket for $10.00 may be purchased at the Town Hall from the clerk during normal business hours.

Prices for waste disposal are subject to change by the Town and MOSA.
